Applicants are encouraged to obtain a prior-scheduled appointment if visiting the Embassy in Stockholm through Book here


For all applicants from Sweden (excluding Stockholm county), Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania using Remote Consular Services, a postage fee is applicable to return the original documents and to dispatch issued documents (Birth Certificate, Citizenship Certificate, New/Amended Passports) using PostNordRekommenderatBrev (Register Post) service.


  • Postage fee for Sweden : SEK 280 (SEK 140 + SEK 140)
  • Postage fee out of Sweden : SEK 360 ( SEK 180 + SEK 180)


Administrative charges:

  • Photocopies taken by the Embassy in case of non-submission of copies of original documents) – SEK 50
  • Bank fee (cross border transfer) – SEK 50


The Embassy does not accept payments made by cheques. If paid by the Debit/Credit Cards (Only VISA and Master cards) at the Embassy, bank commission of 1.5% will be added to the payment.


Virtual Meetings

Requests for Virtual Meetings with the Consular Division please state the following in the request email to the Consular Division.


For Birth & Citizenship Registration and Passport for child


  • Applicant’s name (name of mother/father)
  • Name of child
  • Date of birth of child
  • Purpose for Zoom meeting
  • City & country of residence

For Passport renewals and Life Certificate attestations

  • Applicant’s name
  • Name of child (if renewal of passport for a child under 16-years)
  • Purpose for Zoom meeting
  • City & country of residence

  • Failure to adhere to one of the available Consular Services provided by this Embassy will result in the rejection of your application.
  • Refrain from making any payments to the Embassy for your application/s until you receive an email communication from the Consular Division requesting payment, as applications with deficient documents will not be accepted for payment.
